As for the information, this circular regulates the implementation and operating hours of several types of tourism businesses to honor the holy month of Ramadan and Idul Fitri.
Certain types of businesses such as nightclubs, discotheques, steam baths, massage houses, manual dexterity game arenas, mechanics and/or electronics for adults, and bars/drinking houses must close one day before Ramadan until one day after the second day of Idul Fitri. For other tourism businesses, they can still operate with some adjustments.
In the circular letter, the operational time for the tourism business mentioned above has been set at a maximum of 11 PM. The close bill must be made one hour before the closing time for business operations, thus all operations have stopped by 11 PM.
It was done to honor Ramadan and still pay attention to the transition period towards endemic according to Home Minister's Decree Number 53/2022 on Prevention and Covid-19 during the Transition to Endemic.
The tourism business mentioned above must also be closed one day before Ramadan, the first day of Ramadan, the night of Nuzulul Quran, one day before Idul Fitri/Night of Takbiran, as well as the first and second days of Idul Fitri celebrations.
"Tourism business operators are asked to maintain a conducive atmosphere during Ramadan until Idul Fitri. Not only regulating operating hours, this circular letter also contains provisions for organizing tourism businesses," he stated.
